Wilfred Ndidi could well return to the Premier League as early as January after Tottenham Hotspur became the latest club in the top league in England to be linked with him.
The Daily Express has today reported that Spurs want to reunite James Maddison with his teammate at Leicester City.
Maddison has been an instant hit at the London club since his own summer switch.
Ndidi, who has enjoyed a more advanced attacking role in the English Championship this season, will move to Spurs on a free transfer as his contract at Leicester City is up next summer.
The defensive midfielder was close to a move back to the Premier League this past summer after reports emerged that he had agreed personal terms with Everton.
However, the deal failed to sail through before the deadline day.
