The new NPFL season will kick off on August 26 with a full 38-match schedule after the league was played on an abridged format last term.
Chairman of the Club Owners Association, Okey Kpalakwu, disclosed this after a meeting with the NPFL management board led by Gbenga Elegbeleye.
He also said the meeting also agreed for a full schedule of matches to be played in the 20-club championship after it was abridged last season for the calendar to align with that of Europe.
The fixtures draw for the new season will be staged in Abuja on August 17, when the NPFL will also have its AGM.
The newly promoted teams to the NPFL are Sporting Lagos, Kano Pillars, Katsina United and Heartland.
