The newly inaugurated NFF technical committee will soon appoint coaches and backroom staff for the various national teams to ensure proper preparations by these teams for upcoming major tournaments.
A top official told SCORENigeria that besides sitting on the long-drawn contract issue of Jose Peseiro as Super Eagles coach, the technical committee headed by Sharif Rabiu Inuwa will make recommendations to the NFF executive committee on the head coach of the Super Falcons after the contract of Randy Waldrum has also ran out.
New coaching appointments will also be made for the Flying Eagles, Golden Eaglets, Falconets and the Flamingoes.
Coach Ladan Bosso, who led the Flying Eagles to the quarterfinal of this year’s FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina, will prefer to stay put at this post even though the NFF leadership plans to promote him to head the U23s.
It was further gathered that there will be different technical staff for the CHAN Eagles and the U23s to allow for a clearer focus.
“Most of these appointments will be made before the end of the year to ensure the coaches and staff hit the ground running in good time,” another official informed SCORENigeria
“The time for fire-brigade preparations for major tournaments by the various national teams is over.”
All the names in this write up are still the same visionless, directionless and ignoramus that have messed up our football. Nothing new and nothing different to look forward to. So sad.!
