Genk winger Yira Sor has said he is honoured to be called up by the Super Eagles and hopes he could also bring out his best qualities for the team.
The former Flying Eagles star said he is a versatile forward, who could play as a left winger, right winger or striker and believes he could also contribute to the Super Eagles flying again.
“It’s not just about competition (for team places), it’s about synergy, bring out the best of everyone to help the team and take Nigeria to another level,” he told NFF TV
“For me, it’s about what I can do to help the team. Give my best, play with all my heart for this wonderful badge.
“There’s the expectations of over 200 million people when you play for Nigeria.
“I am a player with a lot of pace and also can link up the play. I hope I can give this to the team and together we can achieve more.
“I hope for more goals and assists.”
Yira Sor will make his full international debut in the friendlies against Iran and Jordan.
The Super Eagles tackle Iran tomorrow afternoon in Antalya, Turkey, before another friendly against Jordan four days later.
