Fresh call-up Ryan Alebiosu has said he is thrilled to join the Super Eagles and expressed confidence the team can again go all the way to reach the AFCON final in Morocco.
“I have always wanted to represent my country at a big tournament,” said the Blackburn Rovers fullback, who is regarded as a direct replacement of the injured Ola Aina.
“So, this is a great opportunity and I hope to help the team reach the final.”
The former Arsenal academy graduate revealed that he was approached to play for the Super Eagles three weeks ago.
The international switch was seamless as the player born to Nigerian parents in London has not played for England at any level.
