Wilfred Ndidi is likely to feature for Leicester City against West Ham tonight after making an “incredible” recovery from knee injury.
The Super Eagles midfielder has missed his team’s last three matches in all competitions after damaging his meniscus in training.
After undergoing an operation, Ndidi was scheduled to be out for four to six weeks, but manager Brendan Rodgers believes he could feature against the Hammers on Wednesday evening, just 13 days after the operation, after coming through tests.
“Yes, there’s a great chance of him being in the squad,” Rodgers said at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday. “We will see how he is.
“He’s made an incredible recovery, and that’s the thing with the type of operation he’s had that people will recover in different time scales.
“It’s a testament to him and our medical team, the work that’s gone in to get him fit, that’s he’s available.”
