Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is again standing true to his boast that Victor Osimhen will be leading the team’s attack come the new season in Serie A.
“Victor Osimhen will wear our jersey next season, I’m sure,” the club president told Footmercato.
The Serie A champions are already in talks with Osimhen’s handlers to extend his contract, which runs out June 2025.
However, like the shrewd businessman he is, De Laurentiis has not shut close the door the 24-year-old striker could still make a major transfer.
The Napoli President said Osimhen will leave should he get an offer that he simply cannot refuse.
“If there is a ‘proposal far more than we can refuse’, we will move on and look for another great talent like we did with Kvaratskhelia, Osimhen and others,” De Laurentiis concluded.
The striker has interested the biggest clubs in Europe, including big spenders Paris Saint Germain.
According to the Transfermarkt, Osimhen has a current transfer value of 120 Million Euros, while it has been reported that Napoli have demanded 180 Million Euros for the striker.
