Music star Tems’ club make MLS history

San Diego FC, whose part owner is Grammy Award winner Temilade Opeyemi aka Tems, have shot into the history books of the Major League Soccer (MLS).

San Diego have set a record for a new expansion club by amassing 60 points after they beat Houston Dynamos 4-2.

They thus surpassed the previous record achieved by LAFC of 57 points posted in 2018.

San Diego have also won the most games (18) for any new team, bypassing St. Louis City 2023 record of 17 victories.
