Paul Mukairu scored his third goal of the season as Anderlecht eliminated FC Liege, who once paraded the likes of Victor Ikpeba and Sunday Oliseh, to reach the Round of 16 of the Belgium Cup tonight.
Mukairu hit target after 28 minutes as Anderlecht went on to win 2-0.
The cup tie was played on the artificial pitch of Liege, who now play non-league football.
They will now face second division club Union in the next round.
Club Brugge, KV Oostende, Olympic Charleroi and Sint-Truiden VV all qualified for the Round of 16 on the night.
Antwerp are the cup holders and battle Club Brugge in the next round.
