Terem Moffi will make the difference for Lorient because he is a good finisher and his profile fits what the Ligue 1 club are missing, according to his former teammate at KV Kortrijk who played for the French club, Faiz Selemani.
Moffi, 21, is set to sign a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 club after they agreed to pay Kortrijk a record eight million Euros for his transfer.
“He is a very good player who holds a lot of balls up front. He makes very good decisions, he is very good at finishing. He’s a great guy too,” Selemani told Ouest-France
“He is a player who takes a lot of depth, with his back to the goal he will be get the balls.
“In Lorient, there are some very good players and he will let the others play in the depth and with his finishing he will make the difference.”
Moffi literally took Belgium by storm since his arrival from Lithuania in January, scoring five goals in nine league matches.
His former teammate said he is not surprised that he was subsequently snapped up by Lorient.
“It happened quickly because he is a player who works a lot outside training,” he said.
“He is often indoors, so whatever happens to him is deserved.
“I think he will continue this momentum in Ligue 1 and it will pay off.
“For me, his success is not a surprise, because he is a player who gave himself the chance to do what he did.
“When you are a quality player and in addition you work, it is not a surprise to get such result.”
