A proposed record-breaking transfer of Terem Moffi to Olympique Marseille has been put on hold according to L’Equipe.
Various media reports have suggested that Marseille are prepared to match the 30 Million Euros asking price for the 23-year-old striker.
The transfer was also to have included a swap deal that will see Senegal international striker Bamba Dieng moving in the opposite direction to Lorient.
Dieng is already undoing medical at Lorient and he is expected to soon complete his transfer.
Lorient want the Senegalese striker and whatever happens in the case involving Moffi, Dieng will sign for them.
OGC Nice are the other French Ligue 1 club in serious contention for the signature of Moffi.
One report said the Super Eagles striker would prefer to join Nice.
