Terem Moffi is set to become the biggest outgoing transfer for Ligue 1 club FC Lorient after Newcastle United became the latest Premier League team to join the chase for his signature.
SCORENigeria has been told scouts from Newcastle, who are now bankrolled by Saudi Arabian petro-dollars, were in the stands to run the rule on Moffi when he scored his 11th goal against Monaco this past week.
“Newcastle scouts were at the Lorient game against Monaco to watch him,” a top source close to the Super Eagles striker told SCORENigeria
Moffi, 23, cost his Ligue 1 club eight Million Euros in October 2020 and they can now cash by selling him for as much as thrice that amount.
In the Premier League, Southampton, Aston Villa, Everton and West Ham have been linked to him, while La Liga clubs Villarreal and Real Sociedad as well as Ligue 1 side OGC Nice are now also in the hot chase for the striker.
