Orji Okwonkwo has revealed that Major League Soccer (MLS) is a lot more physical league compared to the Italian Serie A, where he played for Bologna.
The former Nigeria youth International said he has adapted well to the MLS playing for Montreal Impact.
“The league here (USA) is physical and not like Italy, where we do lots of tactics. Here we have to run, run and run. For me, I think I have adapted quickly.” Orji said at a press conference.
He also described his wonder goal in Montreal Impact 2-1 win over Portland Timbers as one of his best.
“I think the goal is one of the best of my career. I didn’t expect it at all, for real! I am very happy that I scored this kind of a goal, which is been adjudged as one of the best,” he celebrated.
The 21-year-old forward has now scored four goals in the league
