Victor Osimhen risked been frozen out at Napoli by Antonio Conte and now Mikel Obi has recalled how the no-nonsence Italian coach sidelined him at Chelsea for six months.
Mikel had always been a constant part of the Chelsea squad under different managers, but this ended when he made the decision to join the Nigerian team at the Olympics in 2016.
“He said I shouldn’t go, and I told him I’m going, he said; if you leave you’re not playing for Chelsea anymore,” the former Super Eagles captain recounted on Obione Podcast
“So I told him, whatever, I would go and represent my country, so I came back, he sent me off, I wasn’t training with the first team, i was training alone for like six months till I left.”
Mikel had to be without playing football for half a year because of his decision to snub Chelsea for the Olympics.

This is the racist attitude of Mr Conte. It seems this guy hates Nigerians. This is because Nigerians, especially those from the South have guts. They are the only Black Africans that can look at the face of Whiteman unflinchingly and tell him what he dont want to hear. Lemme tell you guys, ” money is not the end of everything”. Your right matters.
Well done, Mike and Oseihmen seem to have conveyed the same language to him. Some of these white guys are obnoxious and nauseating.
Let’s see if Napoli will carry the serie a league with lukaku, before you guys can say what you are saying
