Akwa United forward Mfon Udoh has remained ahead in the chase for the Eunisell Boot as goal king of the NPFL after he scored his 10th goal of the season at Delta Force.
He can now cash 2 million Naira at 200,000 Naira per goal scored in the NPFL.
Akwa United lost 2-1 at Delta Force but Udoh managed to get on the scoresheet for his hometown club and become the first player to hit double digit figures.
His haul has included five away goals.
The former Enyimba star is also the all-time record scorer in the league after he netted 23 goals in the 2014 season.
Katsina United flying winger Tasiu Lawal is the closest challenger to Mfon Udoh as he has scored eight goals thus far.
However, the former Niger Tornadoes star will drop off in the race as Katsina United are not likely to qualify for the championship playoffs.
