Promoted Venezia have continued to move away from the relegation zone in Serie A after David Okereke delivered the late winner in a 3-2 home win over Roma.
Okereke hit target in the 74th minute for his club’s third goal.
It was his third goal in Serie A since his loan transfer from Belgian champions Club Brugge.
Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuehi was a late sub for Venezia, while Tammy Abraham scored Roma’s second goal.
Venezia are now 14th on the table with 12 points from as many matches and three points outside the drop zone.
