Coach Manu Garba has praised his Golden Eaglets for posting their best performance against Togo in a final group game, which they won 3-0 to qualify for the semifinal of the U17 AFCON qualifiers as group winners.
“It was a good game for us, it was not because we scored three goals but we played our best game so far,” the experienced coach saluted.
“We could even have scored more goals in that game as we dominated from start to finish.”
The Golden Eaglets will tomorrow battle Cote d’Ivoire in the second semifinal of the qualifying tournament.
The winners of this clash are guaranteed a ticket to next year’s U17 AFCON.
Kick-off time is 9pm in Nigeria.
