Paul Onuachu’s superb form for Belgian club KRC Genk has been rewarded with a recall to the Super Eagles and he will now replace Victor Osimhen for next week’s friendlies against Algeria and Tunisia in Austria.
The official Super Eagles Twitter handle announced the late call-up for Onuachu.
Onuachu has not been involved with the national team since an indifferent showing at last year’s AFCON in Egypt.
However, he has bounced back to top reckoning with seven goals in six league matches for Genk in the Belgian top flight this season.
He was also picked as the Player of the Month in Belgium for September to underscore his red-hot form.
Nigeria face Algeria on Friday, October 9, before they take on Tunisia in another friendly four days later at the same venue.
