Rafiu Durosinmi was Man of the Match after he scored his third goal in as many matches, but he admitted he could not believe his eyes when home team Antwerp fought back 4-1 down to hold Genk to a 4-4 draw.
“From 1-3 onwards, I was on the bench, I didn’t know what I was seeing,” he said.
“Everyone was already convinced that the three points were in the bag. Their supporters kept pushing. The penalty helped them.
“I won’t say anything about that phase, but I do want to see the footage again.”
According to the striker, however, KRC Genk must take heart from the positive aspects, such as the first half hour after the break.
“There were some very good things in there,” he said. “As the coach said: heads must be held high in the coming days; we must show that we are one group.”
On Friday evening, KRC Genk will welcome SK Beveren in continuation of the Belgium Pro League.
