Super Eagles No 1 goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has been named Player of the Year by his Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam.
Okoye has established himself as No 1 at Sparta, keeping 10 clean sheets in 28 appearances in the Dutch league.
Interestingly, he did not cost the Dutch club a dime when he signed for them in July 2020 from hometown club Fortuna Dusseldorf.
His performance has already attracted several top clubs across Europe including Dutch giants Ajax.
