Jose Mourinho has already given his approval for Fenerbache to give Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel a new and improved contract.
However, the player is now set to return to England when his contract runs out in June 2025.
His decision has to do mainly with the fact that he wishes to be closer to his girlfriend, who is a senior manager at a bank in London.
According to Sabah newspaper, the girlfriend does not plan to quit her job and it is now left for Osayi-Samuel to join her back in England.
“I have a beautiful relationship and I don’t want to lose it,” he was reported to have told the Fenerbache board.
“If an offer comes from the Premier League, I will go, otherwise I will wear the Fenerbahçe jersey anyway.
“I love this jersey, the fans and Istanbul. I just want time and understanding.”
The Super Eagles defender has already been linked with English Championship side Norwich City and he is also hoping for interests in the Premier League.
