Victor Osimhen will not be joining Premier League champions Liverpool any time soon after manager Arne Slot said he does not fancy him.
According to II Mattino, Slot has rejected the striker even as part of a deal that will include a swap for Darwin Nunez to Napoli.
He is not the type of player he likes, the Italian newspaper reported.
It is now being speculated that Slot is gunning to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.
The Italian newspaper has therefore said Osimhen’s two transfer options remain Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal and Galatasaray.
Al Hilal are ready to pay Napoli release clause of 75 Million Euros but are yet to get the nod from the striker, while Galatasaray are asking for a discount on this release clause.
Napoli are desperate to sell Osimhen this month so that they could finance the many transfers they plan for this summer.
Osimhen is a world class striker that doesn’t need Liverpool that does not have top nine. They won the league this term and almost broke record of winning premiership with least number of points..
Osimhen should see out his contract at Napoli and leave as a free player. That is what Napoli deserves.
