Victor Osimhen has again proved he is the Main Man for the Super Eagles after he struck thrice for Nigeria to trounce Benin and qualify for the 2026 World Cup continental Playoffs in Morocco next month.
Like the mailman, he has continued to deliver anything it has mattered.
Victor Osimhen literally puts his whole body on the line for Nigeria.

Three goals from Osimhen, and the Super Eagles have a chance of making the playoffs… if they score one more goal
What a player 👏👏pic.twitter.com/MjZZaaZ41o
He netted six goals and made an assist in five World Cup qualifiers.
He missed Nigeria’s first five qualifiers, which they drew three, lost one and won one.
He grabbed the brace that sunk hosts Rwanda in Kigali in March, before he scored again against Zimbabwe in Uyo a few days later.
He assisted Jerome Akor to score the match winner against home team Lesotho last week to keep hope alive for the Super Eagles.
His treble against Benin Tuesday will then inspire Nigeria to their biggest home win in many years.
Ironically, Osimhen effectively ended the World Cup dreams of coach Gernot Rohr, who first capped him for the Super Eagles in June 2017.
An impressed coach Eric Chelle has since described the Galatasaray star striker as “the best striker in the world”.
“Monster performance”, “Osimhen is HIM”, “Warlord” are some of the adjectives that have been used to qualify the 26-year-old centre-forward.
Osimhen is also closing in fast on the all-time goals record set by the legendary Rashidi Yekini.
His tally of 29 goals for Nigeria is now just eight goals away from the record of ‘Ye-King’.
Nigeria will again be counting on Osimhen’s goals next month in Morocco to win the Continental Playoffs that leads to the Intercontinental Playoffs in March 2026.
To begin with, against Gabon on November 13, it will be a shootout between Osimhen and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has scored seven goals for his country.
