Winger Jeremy Agbonifo has signed a permanent contract with French Ligue 1 club RC Lens after a successful loan.
The 19-year-old Agbonifo was loaned out by Swedish club BK Hacken to Lens in January with option for the French club to buy permanently.
The player said he is excited by this development.
“Last year was fantastic. There are fantastic people and fantastic coaches at BK Häcken. They gave me the chance, trusted me and I got to show everyone what I can do. BK Häcken and Hisingen are my home. The family, the guys, my sister – everything is here. And I just feel love for the supporters,” Agbonifo told the BK Hacken website
“I set high standards for myself so I always want to do better. I aim to continue to develop so I can do even better.”
Hacken sports manager Martin Ericsson said the club welcome his departure.
“Jeremy is another player whose development we have been a part of for a long time and who many people have noticed through us,” he said.
“It is a good sign, because we should be good at developing players and being able to sell, as it drives our business financially and gives us opportunities to invest.”
