Leke James has told SCORENigeria he is delighted to start the New Year with a crucial goal for his Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor.
At the weekend, the striker scored the only goal to give Sivasspor a 1-0 win at Konyaspor.
The former Aalesunds of Norway hitman said it was a great performance and hoped for more to help his team move up the table.
“I feel great starting the year with a goal as I finished last year with two goals,” he told SCORENigeria
“It’s a sign of good things for me and the club. The three points are very important to the whole team, it is a great way to kick start the second half of the season.
“Personally, It will motivate me to keep working harder and give my best for the team.”
He has now scored three goals in the season – one in the league and two goals in the cup.
