Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has said it is not in his place to ask Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori whether they should play for the Super Eagles or The Three Lions of England.
Both Chelsea stars are eligible to play for both Nigeria and England with central defender Tomori having the added option to play for Canada as he was born there.
“It’s not in my place to advice (on their international future),” Lampard said.
“It’s for the players and their families to do so, unless they ask my opinion.”
Both striker Abraham and Tomori have already represented England at U20 and U21 levels.
Top Nigeria officials including sports minister Sunday Dare have been courting Abraham to play for the Super Eagles.
Sone Aluko and Victor Moses are some of the players who have opted to play for Nigeria after they represented England at age-grade levels.
