Barcelona hosts Osasuna at the Estadi Lluis Companys in the Catalan capital in a match from the 27th round of Spanish La Liga. Here are our football tips today for this fixture. Let’s go!
After five consecutive wins in the league, Barcelona are leading the La Liga standings with 57 points. This puts them one point ahead of Atletico Madrid and three points ahead of the current champion Real Madrid. Barca are now looking as a major contender for the title, given the fact how good they are playing under the manager Hansi Flick.
Last weekend the Catalans hosted Real Sociedad at home and enjoyed a stunning 4-0 win. Their task got easier because La Real’s Aritz Elustondo got sent off after just 17 minutes of playing. Since then Barca dominated and easily scored four times. Gerard Martin and Marc Casado scored in the first half while Ronald Araujo and Robert Lewandowski did the job after the halftime break. Meanwhile Dani Olmo finished the match with two assists on his name.
For Barca this match comes in a delicate moment – between two Champions League games against Benfica. It means that Hansi Flick should make some rotations in the match against Osasuna. Players like Gerard Martin, Ronald Araujo, Marc Casado, Gavi, Fermin Lopez and Ferran Torres are expected to find a place in the line-up.
Barcelona continue to be impressive in attack this season. So far Hansi Flick’s boys have scored 71 goals in La Liga in just 26 matches played. That’s a really good achievement and speaks well of Barca’s potential upfront.
Osasuna are taking their usual position in the middle of the standings. The Pamplonians are 11th in the table with 33 points. They are the club with the most draws made since the beginning of the season – 12. And they are also without a win in their last four matches in the league.
Here we have to remind you is that Osasuna are the first team to beat Hansi Flick’s Barcelona in La Liga. This would give Vicente Moreno’s team additional confidence before the trip to Catalunya.
That’s the football tips today for the La Liga clash between Barcelona and Osasuna at the Estadi Lluis Companys in the Catalan capital. For Barca this game comes between two Champions League fixtures, but they don’t have a choice here – they must give their all. Osasuna are a tricky opponent and Hansi Flick already knows that. He won’t make the same mistake twice.
