Kwara United are the winners of the President Federation Cup after they stopped giant killers Abakaliki FC 4-3 on penalties after there were no goals in regulation time.
Kwara United will thus represent Nigeria in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
It is their first-ever major honour.
Both teams had chances to win this final but poor finishing proved to be their undoing.
Abakaliki FC, who will play in the third-tier league next season, beat several top clubs via penalty shootout but they could not manage this today.
