Nigerian players union NANF has petitioned the National Judicial Council (NJC) on the ruling by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu concerning the corruption trial of NFF president Amaju Pinnick and four other senior officials.
The union described last month’s ruling in suit no FHC/ABJ/93/2019 as “dubious” and “strange”.
NANF is therefore calling on the NJC to review the conduct of Justice Ojukwu.
“The strange ruling handed down on the 5th of November 2019 in charge number FHC/ABJ/CR/93/2019 by Hon.Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu is now before the National Judicial Council (NJC),” disclosed NANF president Harrison Jalla in a press statement.
“It would be recalled that Amaju Pinnick and his gang procured a bizarre ruling from the Federal High Court 7 Abuja Purportedly discharging and acquitting them.
“The NANF is calling on the NJC to look into the conduct of Hon. Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu as it concerns this strange ruling.”
