Nigeria will be represented by two clubs in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after Enugu Rangers edged past ASC Kara of Togo 1-0 to go through on the away goals rule.
The Togolese champions won the first leg playoff 2-1, before Rangers rallied back to win 1-0 in Enugu today.
Chinonso Eziekwe scored the all-important winner for Rangers after 17 minutes.
But there was a mild drama in the second half after officials claimed they discovered ‘juju’ in the Kara post and they destroyed it.
The visiting Kara chased the game after the break but they somehow failed to get the result they needed to progress.
Earlier today, Enyimba booked their place in the group stage of the competition after recording a 2-1 win at TS Galaxy of South Africa.
The Nigeria champions won the first leg in Aba 2-0 to go through 4-1 on aggregate.
