The Super Eagles will go past hosts Morocco tonight in Rabat on their way to beating Senegal in the final of the 2025 AFCON, according to coach Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho has already got his prediction spot-on after he tipped the Super Eagles, Senegal, Egypt and Morocco to reach the semifinals even before the AFCON kicked off.
The legendary coach described the Super Eagles as “dangerous” and that their courageous attacking football will be rewarded with a fourth AFCON crown in Morocco.
“They said Nigeria will lose in the quarterfinal of the Africa Cup of Nations. I laughed when I heard that,” Mourinho began.
“Weeks ago I named the teams with real chances, not favourites, not emotions, facts and now look at the board – Senegal vs Egypt, Nigeria vs Morocco.
“This is not prediction anymore, this is confirmation.
“Senegal against Egypt, one plays with history, the other plays with power. Power wins tournaments and yes Senegal go to the final.
“Nigeria against Morocco, Morocco are organised, Nigeria are dangerous, organisation keeps you alive, danger wins you games. Nigeria don’t wait, they attack your mistakes.
“So the final is simple – Nigeria vs Senegal.
“Nigeria will beat Senegal in final because football doesn’t reward noise, it rewards courage.’
