Former Super Eagles captain Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha has waded into the debate over a Premier League transfer for Victor Osimhen by picking what he believes will be the ideal destination in England for the Napoli striker.
‘Jay Jay’, who himself played in the Premier League with Bolton, said Manchester rivals, City and United, as well as Arsenal would suit Osimhen.
“A team like Manchester City (good for Osimhen), but they have (Erling) Haaland now, Manchester United as well will be ideal for him because they are struggling for a quality striker in years, both Manchester clubs and Arsenal as well,” he told the BBC.
“His style is suited to the Premier League and he’s good enough to play in Premier League.
“It’s a league that improves players but you have to find the right club that suit your game to make things easier for you.”
He added: “He’s done well, he is having a great season and deserves all the praise he is getting, but the ultimate for him is to be in the Premier League and he has made this clear as well.”
Okocha said Osimhen is capable of new grounds with more hard work.
“What he can achieve is limitless if he continued to put in the hard work,” he said.
