Coach Gernot Rohr has made several changes to his starting XI for this afternoon’s AFCON Group B clash against Guinea by leaving out skipper Mikel Obi, William Ekong, Samuel Chukwueze and Paul Onuachu, who all started against Burundi.
Eagles Want Ahmed Musa To Start
Alex Iwobi will play in central midfield in place of Mikel Obi, who was below par against Burundi, while Ekong has given way to Len Balogun in the heart of the back four.
Ahmed Musa will make his first start and so too Odion Ighalo, who both came in against Burundi to make a big impression with Ighalo snatching the match winner.
As expected, Chidozie Awaziem is in for the injured Shehu Abdullahi, while Moses Simon has been picked ahead of Chukwueze, who posted a decent outing against Burundi on Saturday.
The match will kick off by 3.30pm Nigerian time.
