Paul Onuachu was described as “invincible” as Genk fell 2-1 at home to Anderlecht Sunday with fellow Nigerian, Paul Mukairu, even enjoying a better rating than the Super Eagles striker in the Belgian league clash.
Onuachu is the leading scorer in the Belgian league with 22 goals, but on Sunday he failed to save Genk from a home loss.
He was rated 3 out of 10 by HLN.
“Invincible. A lot more was expected from the tall Nigerian. It was a sharp dip in form,” HLN rated.
Mukairu was a second half sub for Anderlecht and he scored 5 out of 10 according to the newspaper.
“He came on brightly, but should have done more with the opportunities he got. Was too selfish at times,” reported HLN.
Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers was not rated because he was a very late sub for Genk.
Both Genk and Anderlecht are on track for the Top 4 championship playoffs.
After 26 rounds of matches, Genk are third on the table with 43 points, while Anderlecht are two points behind and in fourth place.
