Inter Milan sports director Piero Ausilio has commented on their interest in Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.
He told Sky Sport Italia that Ademola Lookman is the top target of Inter.
“We have a good relationship with and respect for Atalanta. I can confirm that we have spoken to them about our expectations,” he said.
“We really like Lookman and would like to sign him.
“However, he is not an Inter player and we have to reach an agreement. We will not negotiate forever. We have shown interest in the player and hope that offers are considered satisfactory.
“What counts is what Atalanta want to do. He is our first choice, but if we don’t get him, we will work towards other targets.”
Ademola Lookman has agreed a five-year contract with Inter, who will now have to agree a transfer fee with Atalanta.
Napoli are also in the race to sign the Super Eagles star.
