FC Porto defender Zaidu Sanusi has been left out of next month’s friendlies against Cameroon as a result of injury.
Zaidu was on the 31-man provisional squad for matches against Cameroon on June 4 and June 8, but he was later dropped because of a muscle injury, which forced him to miss his club’s last three games of the season.
The leftback has established himself in the national team since his debut against Algeria October last year.
He featured in the Eagles last two games against Benin and Lesotho.
Spain-based stars Kenneth Omeruo and Sadiq Umar were also dropped from the squad because their clubs will battle for promotion to La Liga in a playoff.
