For tonight’s decisive WAFU B U20 AFCON qualifier against Niger, the Flying Eagles will be without defensive midfielder Sabiu Ibrahim due to an ankle injury.
Officials informed SCORENigeria that the Niger Tornadoes ace has not been able to shake off the ankle injury he picked up against Cote d’Ivoire in a final Group B match.
Sabiu was a late addition to the Flying Eagles following the unavailability of Daniel Daga.
He was second-half substitute in the opening group game against Burkina Faso before he started against Cote d’Ivoire and fought hard to neutralize the Young Elephants in midfield.
Former Golden Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyebanjo will therefore reclaim a starting spot in tonight’s all-important clash against Niger.
