SCORENigeria has exclusively gathered Super Eagles skipper Mikel Obi may miss the rest of the 2019 AFCON due to a knee injury from the final group game versus Madagascar.
We specially learnt that Mikel missed yesterday’s team training in Alexandria as a result of this injury.
The former Chelsea star now can only walk with the aid of crutches.
It was also gathered that some tests will be carried out to determine the extent of the injury.
Mikel has only recently signed a two-year contract with ambitious Turkish club Trabzonspor as a free agent.
The Eagles will possibly face perennial rivals Black Stars of Ghana in the Round of 16 on Saturday in Alexandria.
