One of the NFF officials indicted by EFCC in the corruption investigation concerning the football federation has refunded two million Naira while hoping that he will not be prosecuted after he has made full refund of the Aiteo Cup cash he misappropriated.
“The NFF head of department has refunded two million Naira. He still has 10 million Naira to pay back before the end of the month,” a source told SCORENigeria
“He hopes that this refund will serve as a plea bargain and so he will not have to also face prosecution.”
The other indicted official, a director, has already paid back 1.5 million Naira.
He still has to pay back three million Naira meant for media and publicity for the Aiteo Cup.
