Ike Ugbo fired his 12th goal of the league season in Belgium for Cercle Brugge to step out of the relegation zone courtesy of a 2-1 win at fellow strugglers Mouscron.
The 22-year-old striker, who has represented England at age-group competitions but could also feature for the Super Eagles, opened scoring for the visitors in the 13th minute.
He is now 11 goals shy of the tally of the league’s leading scorer, Paul Onuachu.
He is also now just a goal short of what he achieved in the Dutch top league last season with JC Roda on loan from Chelsea.
