Stanley Iheanacho grabbed a brace as the Golden Eaglets beat Camp United 4-1 in their final game before the U17 AFCON in Morocco today at the Aguiyi Ironsi Cantonment in Abuja.
Iheanacho struck twice just days after he sunk a hat-trick in another test game with Joseph Arumala also hitting target in the first half.
Substitute striker Ahmed Abdullahi will net a brilliant individual goal to make it 4-0 before Abdullahi Ibrahim pulled a goal back for Camp United from the penalty spot in the second half.
Central defender Emmanuel Chukwu brought the much-needed assurance in defence alongside No 1 goalkeeper Destiny Emuwahen and in midfield ‘Bruno Fernandes’ Sagir Musa displayed some great touches.
The team are expected to undergo the mandatory Covid test tomorrow and are due in Lagos early in the new week enroute to Morocco.
They open their U17 AFCON campaign on March 14 against Tanzania.
