Both Kelechi Iheanacho and Paul Onuachu have been named on the Super Eagles matchday squad vs Equatorial Guinea even though they did not feature in the team’s last training yesterday.
This shows the desperation by coach Jose Peseiro for firepower in the team after both Victor Boniface and Sadiq Umar pulled out of the competition due to injury.
Victor Osimhen is the only out-and-out striker on the squad before the arrival of Iheanacho and Onuachu.
The team’s other striker Terem Moffi, in for injured Victor Boniface, is only expected to join up later tonight.
