Twice VAR came to the rescue of Leicester City.
First, to decide whether a hand ball had been committed leading up to the goal.
And then when Chelsea felt they have drawn level in the closing moments of an entertaining Final.
But again, VAR ruled it was scored from an offside position to the huge relief of ‘The Foxes’.
The historic Cup winners will also have to thank their captain, Kasper Schmeichel, who made two big saves as Chelsea poured forward in search of the equaliser.
‘Seniorman Kelz’ (Iheanacho) scored four goals on the road to this epic victory including the winner in the semifinal against Southampton, while Ndidi was solid in the heart of the defence all the way to this Final.
They thus join an illustrious company of Nigeria stars who have lifted the FA Cup trophy – Nwankwo Kanu, Mikel Obi, Alex Iwobi, Daniel Amokachi, John Utaka, Celestine Babayaro and Victor Moses.
