Manchester United two-goal hero Odion Ighalo has said he hopes to continue his fine run in front of goal despite the doubts that greeted his transfer to the top Premier League club.
Ighalo scored a brace at Derby County Thursday night to fire United to the quarterfinal of the FA Cup.
He has now scored three goals for ‘The Red Devils’ after he opened his goals account against Club Brugge in the UEFA Europa League.
Ighalo said he will do with the support of the team and the fans.
“As long as my
team-mates believe in me, the boss believes in me and the fans believe in me,
just have to keep going. I don’t care what anyone says,” he maintained.
United manager Ole Solskjaer was delighted with his striker.
“He’s doing what it says on the tin and what we asked for when we signed him,” he praised.
“I am so delighted with his two goals. Every game he plays, he’s always getting chances.”
