Sky Sports today reported that Odion Ighalo will return to Shanghai Shensua from Manchester United in July in time for the new Chinese Super League.
This comes as Ighalo could be on the shopping list of Newcastle United should they be taken over by the wealthy Saudi Arabian group.
Ighalo’s loan spell at United by June 31 and will not be extended as the transfer window will not have re-opened till after the conclusion of the Premier League in England.
Shanghai Shensua will only allow the 20 million pounds rated striker to stay till the end of the season if United plan to buy him permanently.
The Chinese league is expected to kick off in July.
Shanghai Shensua have offered Ighalo on improved deal that will fetch him 400,000 pounds a week.
His current deal has a year to run.
