A director of IFK Gothenburg has insisted the Swedish club have been forced to sell top stars like Alhassan Yusuf after the havoc caused by the Coronavirus Pandemic, but they still won’t sell the player cheaply.
Last week, it was reported the club are willing to sell Yusuf and striker Giorgi Kharaishvili.
IFK director Max Markusson admitted they are a selling club, but their best players will also have to go at the right price.
“I have seen price tags on Alhassan and Giorgi that have been both too high and far too low,” he said.
“It’s not that you can understand the transfer market by playing Football Manager – just as I don’t think you should think we intend to release our best players for nothing either.”
Last year, Premier League club Wolves submitted a seven million Euros bid for Yusuf after which Sheffield United tabled half that sum.
