SCORENigeria can exclusively report that Swedish club IFK Goteborg have placed a staggering seven million Euros price tag on Nigerian youngster Alhassan Yusuf, who has attracted interests from several top European clubs.
“The initial thinking was that IFK will ask for about five million Euros, but they are now demanding a transfer fee of seven million Euros,” a source informed SCORENigeria
It is almost double what they received when young striker Benjamin Ngren moved to Belgian club Genk recently.
Ironically, the exciting midfielder cost IFK almost nothing when he moved to Sweden last year and signed a pro deal when he clocked 18.
Ajax, Barcelona, Watford and Anderlecht are among the clubs hot on the chase of the former FC Hearts star.
This year Yusuf has been in sparkling form for IFK after he was handed his chance with the first team.
A leading Swedish newspaper has ranked him as the No 1 player under 20 in the country.
He has made 14 league appearances this season, churning out several Man-of-the-Match displays.
And his club are fifth on the table with 30 points from 17 matches.
