Brown Ideye has said he will not talk about what eventually led to his being axed from the Super Eagles final squad to the 2014 World Cup.
Ideye played a pivotal role for Nigeria to win the 2013 AFCON in South Africa, but a year later he was considered not good enough for the World Cup in Brazil.
“It’s a long story, but I don’t want to talk about it,” he told Lagos Talk FM
“A lot happened behind the scenes during that time, but I can’t speak about it.”
The 36-year-old striker is now back in the NPFL with Enyimba after 18 years playing abroad, from the Premier League in England to the top leagues.
