Tolu Arokodare is the leading scorer in Belgium with 13 goals after his brace in the thrilling Boxing Day draw at Antwerp.
Former coach and now analyst Jacky Mathijssen has been most impressed with the Nigerian striker and has said he is certain Premier League clubs are now keeping tabs on the Genk star.
“Players like Tolu are of absolute value in such a system. After all, you can’t find the solution in every situation with football, without that entailing risks. In emergency solutions he is very functional,” he told Het Belang van Limburg.
“He can indeed take credit for continuing to work like this, after people doubted him for a while. But the current staff can do the same. They made it clear to him that the player he is now, was already in him.
“I am sure that clubs from the Premier League are looking at him.”
