SCORENigeria rates the individual performances of the Super Eagles in a 2-1 loss to Mexico in a friendly in Texas.
7 – Francis Uzoho
The goalkeeper made three great saves and he also tried to control his defence line. Big comeback after his blunder cost Nigeria a World Cup ticket in March.
7 – Chidozie Awaziem
He started the game as central defender and did well but played better as a right back, defending well and joined attack when needed.
5 – William Troost Ekong
The stand-in captain did not make an effort to defend when the Mexico scored the first goal. He was not in the game in the first half but did some good work in the second half only to score an own goal that won the game for Mexico.

7 – Semi Ajayi
He proved himself to be worthy of the Super Eagles shirt. He started as a right back and he did not disappoint. He was later switched to a central defence role and he performed well.
9 – Calvin Bassey
He was the best Super Eagle on the pitch on the night. He defended well, joined the attack when necessary and his recovery rate was top notch. His superb cross was the assist for the Nigeria goal.
6 – Innocent Bonke
He tried to combine well with Joe Aribo and Alex Iwobi in the midfield. He made some great tackles.

7 – Joe Aribo
He stared slowly like other players of the team. He controlled the midfield especially in the second half. He played with lots of confidence.
6 – Alex Iwobi
He combined well with Aribo and Bonke in the midfield. Iwobi was good at what he does but only needs to improve in shots taken.
6 – Moses Simon
It seems opponents now focused on him. He was always marked but still tried his dashing runs on the flank. He still needs to know when to release the ball, dribble and pass.
6 – Terem Moffi
He showed what he can do. He was a big threat when he pushed forward and combined well with Cyril Dessers and will come good for the team.
7 – Cyril Dessers
Despite arriving camp a day before the game, Desser showed that he is another goal poacher that Eagles need. Though he started slow, May be due to fatigue but he later showed class and scored the team’s only goal of the match.
5 – Faisal Sani
He was a second-half substitute for Bonke. He showed he has quality to do well for the team.
